We understand that sometimes unforeseen circumstances arise which may impact your ability to attend your scheduled appointment. If you know more than 48 hours in advance, you can simply cancel your appointment and receive a full refund. If you need to make changes within 48 hours, appointments are non-refundable but we will try our best to help you re-schedule your appointment.

We understand that you may not know all the details and medical terms relating to your health, particularly if you have multiple health conditions and medications. In most cases, you will be able to obtain a summary of your health record from your NHS GP. Sometimes, you may be required to submit an application for more in depth information. It is best to ask your NHS GP practice what processes are in place to help you obtain the information you require.
-
We understand that technology can be a barrier to accessing healthcare for some patients. If you are unable to complete our online registration form, please contact the clinic and we will help you to complete the registration process.

Yes we do provide medical consultations for children. In most cases, when we are advising on lifestyle interventions for children, we recommend a whole family approach. For example, if your child struggles with constipation, we may recommend that you review your food plan as a household to maximise dietary fibre and minimise buying processed snacks in your weekly shop. We will give you specific advice catered to your child’s individual case.
-
With your consent, we will write to your GP following your consultations to update them about important aspects of your healthcare. If, for example, you have successfully lost weight and therefore improved your blood pressure we will let them know this and any medication changes we have advised. It is important for us to update your GP about any changes in your health and medication for your safety.

Depending on your individual medical background, we may not be able to provide safe healthcare to you if you decline consent to share information with your NHS GP. An example of this is where you are on multiple medications and your aim is to lose weight. We know that losing weight can have many benefits e.g. reduction in blood pressure and improving your blood sugar. In such cases, we will often need to make changes to your medication. We are unable to do this without sharing information with your GP as there are safety risks if they are not aware of your current medication and doses.

Yes, if after a consultation we recommend a medication, we can issue a private prescription. This is sent electronically to a chosen pharmacy or you may choose to have it delivered to your house.
-
If you have had recent blood tests within the NHS (within 3 months), we are happy to review these. Sometimes, we may recommend up to date tests or additional tests to give us information about your overall health.
-
No, we specialise in lifestyle interventions for medical treatment backed by evidence-based research. We do not provide advice for herbal remedies or alternative therapies.
-
We will write to you and your GP after each consultation with the summary of what was discussed.
If you’d like a copy of the full consultation, you can write to us and we will provide this for you.

Unfortunately, we do not provide this service. Fitness for work notes are usually requested from your own NHS GP.

We might be able to provide letters detailing factual information about your health. In some cases, we might require further information from your NHS GP records to do this. Private letters to employers or other organisations will incur a charge - this will depend on what information is required. We do not complete paperwork that is intended for your usual NHS GP (e.g. DWP information requests).
